Govt Approves Rs 1 Billion for Karachi National Stadium Revamp



National Stadium Karachi is going to receive a new look. As the Government of Pakistan gives approval for funds of 1 Billion PKR.

Some official information, including the mechanisms and administrators’ boxes, have been taken down for their redesign.

When PSL (Pakistan Super League) 3 ends, the work of renovation was started on his first phase. This renovation was completed before the start of three-match T20 series. This series was played with West Indies. This series was in the favour of Pakistan with the end of 3-0.

The renovation work was stopped again during the 2nd Phase. This was because the series was on its way. The work is resumed again.

The Second Phase

Aslam Bhutto of National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) described what improvements will be made in the second stage. He said:

The chairman boxes and the roof of the third floor in the pavilion building have been demolished and are now being constructed from scratch. The Chairman Box ‘A’ and ‘B’ have been merged into one while new chairs will also be placed in the stands. The entire venue will have world-class level facilities after the work is completed.

He proceeded to say that the roof stuff will be shipped from Germany.

A German company will provide the materials for the roof and send them to Pakistan in mid-August after which the installation of the roof will commence.

The stadium recently hosted the international match for the first time since 2009 as Pakistan whitewashed West Indian team.
